Troubled Youth

Why Police Wanted Wilson off the Streets

Wilson was a troubled youth who, as many others in Southwest Detroit, was involved in gang related activities. Wilson was sentenced to two years in the Maxey Boys Training School for shooting at a police officer. Once released from the Boy Training School in the beginning of 1993, Wilson got a job at Mexican Industries and stayed out of the streets. However, when the Detroit Police would see Wilson they would arrest him for disorderly conduct or loitering and tell him that as long as they get him off the streets for 24 hours then that was 24 hours  they didn't have to worry about him walking the streets of Detroit.
